Red face GD ambient lights?

I'm looking for the possibility of installing ambient lights for my car however, all the DIY's i can find on it are the GE's. Can we do this with the GD's also?

That nice glow in the car at night would really make my driving more fun at night

Thanks!

You certainly can. I'm running to 2 1/2 hours worth of meetings starting in 2 minutes, but I will post pictures of mine and give you more details after my meetings.

These are actually blue, but the WB was set to auto. I can get more shots of these if you'd like. I purhcased thru AJ-R, but I'm not a fan of their customer service so I would advise going thru japanparts.com, pricing from both is similar.

If there's anywhere in my Fit that could use some extra lighting in the night, it's right where they put the power mirror switch, which isn't easy to find then.

Oh wow that looks great! So is it an easy install? or is it like a DIY project where you got solder it and put it right in the fusebox?

I'll check out japan parts now thanks man!

Simple as can be, if I recall correctly (threw out the mad jdm instructions last week). You unplug the power mirror switch, then the harness for this plugs into that, and the harness back into the switch, then there is a power that goes into the fusebox. No soldering required, just plug it in and cut holes where you want to mount the led's.

another good interior light is the cup holder lights from user: koolkevin. i've had them on my Fit for so long that i keep forgetting they're not OEM. it makes shuffling through loose cash in the center console much easier.
