Hello everyone! Im new to the forum..
First let me explain, I am American and live in Brazil and I just bought a used 2004 Honda Fit. My question, maybe a little strange our just plane stupid to some, but..theis is what I need to know. What is the first year Honda sold the Fit in The USA (I think it was 2007) and does anyone know if there is a difference between the 2004 and the 2007? By looking at pictures they look the same, but motor wise? Body wise? I want to buy some parts the next time I visit my mom in The USA, and just want to make use they fit on my FIT when I get here. When I ask the dealers here they dont know....

Not sure if it helps, but the Honda Jazz sold in Europa started in 2002 (2001 in Japan I think) and the GD1 model lasted up to 2009 when it was replaced with the GE. Between 2001 and 2009 there have been just a few small cosmetically changes on the GD1. Like new design on front and rear fender and spoiler. But the motor is the same. There is also some small interior changes in that period.
But with that said, there has always been a few different models of the GD1 to select from with different engines and styling in that same period. Some models was not available in all regions and all countries.

So I think there should not be not much different in the US after it first appeared in that marked. Probably only cosmetical changes if any, but with the same engine options in that period.

Welcome , is your FIT a USDM or JDM?, just bare in mind that the USDM and JDM has a slight difference on the hood... It's more stretched out, not saying a JDM bumper wont fit, but it'll probably be easier for you to buy JDM bumpers for JDM FITs rather then the other way around.
