No not horrible for a Fit. But the Fit is not meant for the drag at all. As by ur times you can tell. But if ur into the straights than keep to the strip. But the Auto X is where u will see ur car shine
Well can't say im in that scen. I want to but i keep talking myself out of it because this is my DD as well. But just brakes, tires and oilchanges from what i know from frineds that do it with there S2K's. It's alot of fun and they always try and talk me into it.
definitely not so bad on your car.. its not like your beating on it for a long period of time
I can see the fit being fun for auto x, but why in the world would you even bother doing the quarter mile with the fit. It's slower than a dead snail. The fact that you are dumping money into mods hoping to get the car into the high 16's is sad....sell the fit, buy a used camaro, mustang of firebird if you want to run the 1/4 mile.

Yes I own a fit with a few mods and guess what? It'll get a few more before I'm done with it and odds are they probably will not be very functional, but its MY car and I can do with it what I please. And no I'm not saying all of this because I'm upset that i bought a car with less than 100whp. Maybe the OP like myself, wanted to buy a car that was reliable, good on gas, practical and still peppy enough and handle well enough to still have a lot of fun driving it.
I do know a thing about going fast. Unfortunately, my 08 Ninja AND my fully built 03 evo 8 were both stolen this summer. After this happened, I re-evaluated my priorites and decided to take a more practical yet still enjoyable route with my transportation situation.
I could go on and on but I won't. Sorry just had to vent a little.
/end rant
yep both. Insurance ended up paying out for both. Didn't cover any of the aftermarket stuff done to either of them, and of course we disagreed on the value of each so I got screwed. I got myself a Fit thinking who the hell is gonna steal a Fit lol
lol yea thats a good way to look at it, thats crazy a buddy of mine got his 93 hatch stolen right from his school parking lot they decided to steal a 95 coupe to with a b16 and a bunch of spoon goodies
Another FitFreak that has experience on the drag strip and is now road racing told me after driving my car that he thought it would do 14 second E.T.s in the 1/4 but there just isn't any way that I could justify the wear and tear that would be incurred on my car by finding out for sure.... My motor mounts are pretty much shot without having ever purposely lighting up the front tires from a dead stop as it is. What I like about drag racing is that the classifications that have you competing with cars that should be close to yours in performance... The Fit is so unique that you could easily win your class because there aren't many people that considers racing a car that runs in the lower performance classes...
KWSC high boost kit, light wheels and tires, header and 2.5" exhaust. I also have Swift Mach springs that drop the front more than the rear and improves traction and handling . As I am able there will be more performance mods but it is not likely that I will drive it except on the street.... It is faster than I expected.

most cars r dd's and i bet that almost everybody would consider it a bad day if something broke on their car
go autox
