No not horrible for a Fit. But the Fit is not meant for the drag at all. As by ur times you can tell. But if ur into the straights than keep to the strip. But the Auto X is where u will see ur car shine

numbers aren't too bad for a mostly stock Fit.

..even in autox you're competing with miata's in the stock class that'll bite your pride, lol.

I think you will find that auto x is really not any worse for your car than drag or spirited back road driving.

The cone rash comes off with a good wash and wax.

I can see the fit being fun for auto x, but why in the world would you even bother doing the quarter mile with the fit. It's slower than a dead snail. The fact that you are dumping money into mods hoping to get the car into the high 16's is sad....sell the fit, buy a used camaro, mustang of firebird if you want to run the 1/4 mile.

I used to be ignorant and think like this. Maybe he is just modding his car to look good, sound good, and to make it more fun to drive. Maybe he wanted to go to the strip just to have a good time. There is always someone faster than you, and there is always someone slower than you. What he chooses to spend his money on is his deal, no need to put him down for it.

Yes I own a fit with a few mods and guess what? It'll get a few more before I'm done with it and odds are they probably will not be very functional, but its MY car and I can do with it what I please. And no I'm not saying all of this because I'm upset that i bought a car with less than 100whp. Maybe the OP like myself, wanted to buy a car that was reliable, good on gas, practical and still peppy enough and handle well enough to still have a lot of fun driving it.

I do know a thing about going fast. Unfortunately, my 08 Ninja AND my fully built 03 evo 8 were both stolen this summer. After this happened, I re-evaluated my priorites and decided to take a more practical yet still enjoyable route with my transportation situation.

I could go on and on but I won't. Sorry just had to vent a little.

/end rant

yep both. Insurance ended up paying out for both. Didn't cover any of the aftermarket stuff done to either of them, and of course we disagreed on the value of each so I got screwed. I got myself a Fit thinking who the hell is gonna steal a Fit lol

Another FitFreak that has experience on the drag strip and is now road racing told me after driving my car that he thought it would do 14 second E.T.s in the 1/4 but there just isn't any way that I could justify the wear and tear that would be incurred on my car by finding out for sure.... My motor mounts are pretty much shot without having ever purposely lighting up the front tires from a dead stop as it is. What I like about drag racing is that the classifications that have you competing with cars that should be close to yours in performance... The Fit is so unique that you could easily win your class because there aren't many people that considers racing a car that runs in the lower performance classes...

Yea it is fun racing in the slower brackets. It's really all about driver skill and reaction time at that point. What all do you have done to the Fit that this guy thinks you will run 14s?

KWSC high boost kit, light wheels and tires, header and 2.5" exhaust. I also have Swift Mach springs that drop the front more than the rear and improves traction and handling . As I am able there will be more performance mods but it is not likely that I will drive it except on the street.... It is faster than I expected.

Well said, if all I cared about was the 1/4 or 0-60 I would have just kept my 1994 Sentra SE-R and never purchased the Fit.
