Red face Intake considerations.

Hey people, just want to ask a few of you professional intake whores out there (no offence intended, only as a joke) what you think would be best air intake for a 1.3 Ltr I-dsi honda jazz 2006 (other then the stock one).

Now i know the I-dsi engines didnt reach the US (where most of you's are from), so I'm going to give you a few insights on how the engines like. The engine releases it's maximum torque alot earlier then the v-tec engines, therefore allowing it to out accelerate the v-tec engine.

All i'm going for is acceleration with my baby jazz, I'm wondering what kind of intake would be best for this? I know the cold air intake performs well with a v-tec since it supports high RPMs. Idsi performs it's best at around 2800-3600 rpms, above 4k its power is kinda gone.

Hope you guys can help me out! thanks in advance

You may want to look into a chambered intake like the Password JDM one. I've got the 1.5 VTEC myself and I'm using a Mishimoto intake, I personally think I should've gone with a CAI though.

Wow this is interesting... I'm still wondering what intake kit works best at a lower-mid RPMs rather then a high one. Doesn't say for the chamber intake.
This is the JDM one:

The K&N intake would work well.

Haha yea... Well i was looking at short ram (not really much on it..), then as i was looking around i heard the carbon chambers one gives you heaps of gains as well as the cold air.. but the fatal problem with cold air is that you got a high chance of screwing up your engine if water gets in it. Lol i think short ram is best for an early-mid torque? or even a modified stock.., the Chamber and CAI performs better at higher rpms.

Honstley a intake does not help much with these cars at all it's more for show. The only thing that you will see any big gains from is FI. I mean u might see 1-2hp from a intake. So i would go with the T1R intake or the password jdm one both are carbon fiber and sick looking to me. If you really want to work on the speed of the car save up and go FI.

I'm pimping a last station power box on my fit, and I really like it. It has a nice growl to it, nothing too loud or raspy sounding but a nice refined deep howl. I bought the car with a megan catback already installed and it came with the intake, but not installed. After installation I did notice a small improvement in low end and midrange torque. Didnt really notice anything up top, but I rarely ever rev over 3500 rpms anyways so I think this particular setup suits me well.

im running the top fuel zero 1000 intake and i love it. gets a lot of looks at shows, and definitely increased my throttle response noticeably. overall power gains are arguable but my intake/test pipe/muffler combo pulled 112 whp so something is going ok there.

Wow sorry guys, i havent been on ff for abit, and if i have i havent checked this thread for awhile. Haha thanks for sharing guys!, I'm not sure what i'm gonna go with yet, i really like the JDMpassword chamber look, but i think the cost is abit too expensive... 500+? well plus shipping it would be around there, cause im all the way in australia in this little town called perth and there isnt much major modifying happening over here. Around average for intake kits how much should i be looking around? I dont wanna get ripped off.. lol like everyone i guess.
