Cabin filter

Has anyone changed it out yet??? I got a 07 with 44k miles on and I'm debating if I should replace it with a new one or not... I took my glove box out cause I'm hooking up my system in my car.. I'm not sure if it will make that big of a difference since my car is fairly new..what you guys think??

Yes, but get an aftermarket one. Honda charges way too much.

Good advice. I bought mine at AutoZone, I think it was about half what the dealership charges.

I just got the biggest home central air filter I could find, 20x20x1 I think, not the cheapest one or the most expensive one, cut it to size and voila. Had enough to do the Fit and my IS3 2-3 times each for under $10. The Fit I got came from a dog owner and a smoker so I wasn't about to inhale any of that ish after I had spent a whole day shampooing and detailing the interior. In my IS I'd change it every 35k-30k since new, filter gets pretty nasty quick around here and I've got dust/smoke allergies.

Over here people make do with aquarium filters and 3M Filtrete as a DIY replacement for the OEM cabin filter. Works just as well - the bulky aquarium filters sieve the big particles while the Filtrete takes care of the smaller bits.

That's quite intelligent, and a good way to use a filtrete, I should try doing something similar like this, I just recently found out that people also make cabin filters from normal furnace filters, which is apparently really easy to do.
