Searched, but no luck. Anybody running 13" wheels on their Fit.

That's what I like about you Tex........
But less mass and a smaller diameter will wind up quicker! definitely proformace gains to be had there. Like Carrol Shelby use to gauge his cars "0 to 100 and 100 back to 0 how fast can ya get there and back?"

I appreciate the input everybody. I did found a post about 13" wheel under Tire, but someone said 13" won't clear the caliper. I'll have to try it out and see. I want to run 13's wheels because I have a complete new set of 13" Mugen CF48 sitting in my closet. Why not put them to use if I can plus I don't really drive my car anyways just sits in the garage. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the tip Crazy3gato. I didn't think of that. I do hace Skunk2 extended stubs, spacers, Red Volk Formula lug nuts sitting in the storage. I can put them to use too, but I really want a Yakima roof rack before I get into all that stuff.
This site is awesome.

There just aren't as many choices in performance tires or sizes in 14" compared to 13".... I think a 225-45-13 on 13"X8" wheels with Moon Eyes aluminum disk wheel covers would be a killer looking combination on a Fit..... It would resemble some of the old Hot Wheels toy cars and no one has done that type of setup on here yet... Personally I like 175-50-13s on 6" rims with spacers and Moon disk... The wheel diameter would be 19.889" and weight per wheel/tire would be 25lbs.

hmm...I think the biggest drawback would be the weight. If I can run 15" wheels and tires that weigh just under 28lbs. then 13" wheels should be a lot lighter no? Now if you could get 13" wheels and tires under 23lbs that would be pretty awesome, although you would give up a good deal of ground clearance....as well as a much smaller contact patch.

You would 1.75" with the 175 55 13s and they are 6.8"wide. You would sit right about 3/8" higher with the 225-45-13s that are 8.9" wide and the weight would be around 28lbs but closer to the center of rotation than stock size wheels and tires requiring less power to spin... The reduction in diameter has the same effect as changing the final drive ratio which has the effect of multiplying the torque.. The 225-45s are racing tires not for use on public roads though..... The reduced diameter allows wider tires to be used with a lesser chance of rubbing the fenders also. Check out the tire sizes available in 13" compared to 14", there are a lot more in 13" especially performance oriented tires.
