Any GD Sports out there with mud flaps or mud guards?

I have been searching like crazy and it seems like noone has done it. I know the mud guards are for a base model but I was wondering if anyone has got them to fit their sport models? Personally for me, they could be of great use as I have lower offset wheels which causes more water to splash on the sides of my car. Anyone with custom mud flaps? I'd love to see pics if anyone can post them up.

About 8 years ago, I had a 2000 Civic SI and was able to trim down some 96-98 Civic mud guards to fit my 2000 model. I just got a dremel and trimmed it down enough so that it would properly fit over my rear bumper. I was wondering if this could be the same case with the Fit sport using the OE fit mud guards? Any input appreciated. And yes, i'm a mud guard fan.

I'm a mudguard fan too. I've installed a full set of flat mudflaps on my car and I think they look OK. I'll post a DIY as soon as winter is over.

What type of flat mudflap did you use? Like a rally racer type?

I wanted to use the rally style units but for now installed a set of universal flat mud guards from the local auto parts store.

Sure, I'll post some tomorrow.

It's been snowing non-stop and the local car wash was closed so my car is filthy:

I know, not much of an endorsement of the benefits of mud guards but they can only do so much in our weather conditions. I'll probably get rally style mud guards for next year. I can post better pictures after the weather breaks and I can clean the car. I'll include some DIY info as well.

Hey John, that doesn't look bad at all. Personally, from a guy who's pretty anal, I think it looks pretty darn good. Clean!

I live on a dirt road and have thought about mud flaps every time I see how filthy my car gets compared to the Forester my wife drives that came with flaps and always is clean.

How can we go about doing? Would you like to take the initiative? I'm still kinda torn on those fancy mud flaps though after thinking about the fact that my car is lowered. I'd feel like a poser sporting fancy mud flaps on a lowered, non rally, economical, cute, gas saving, car.

I bought them at a local chain store called Advance Auto. My one complaint about these mud guards is they are made of hard plastic and because I hung the front set a little low I've scraped them on the ground a few times. Maybe the softer rally types would be better.

Don't refer to the fit as cute. That just fills the stereotype its a girls car lol. And you wouldn't be a poser just super serious about the mud flaps! I have a base ge and I found the if I hit a deep puddle on the highway the stock plastic ones act like.. well if you on a boat and you put your hand in the water. It pulls me to one side. So a nice set or urethane ones that are flexible would be great

Don't knw if that made any sense lol
