Possibly trading in the GD
Over the past couple weeks Ive been contemplating trying to get into an s2000 because ive found a few in good condition with low miles.. but then I got to thinking..
Does anyone know if theyre going to be replacing the S2K with another convertible, or even a rwd anytime soon? if so ill hold out but i couldnt find anything google searching confirming a replacement.

I haven't heard anything about a replacement for the S2000. Have you considered waiting for the Toyota FT86 or the Subaru equivalent? It looks like a really cool car and is supposed to start out in the low twenties.
I haven't heard too much about it but it doesn't look bad at all.. I also though about getting the Hyundai genesis coupe or maybe a 1 series BMW but I've just always loved the low slung lines on the s2k
S2k FOR THE WIN.. This will be my next Honda once my daughter takes over ownership of the Fit (3 years to Go). Red of course.
I have not heard about a replacement for the S2K, but that does not mean it wont happen.
If you can swing it I say keep both for the best of both worlds?

- Having a company vehicle means no need for practical car.
- $1200 a month for a 1Bedroom in the keys + 2 car payements/insurance under 25 years old lol. Adds up quick.
It does add up quick. I know it does. Married with kids, house, cars, dog, etc.......
Cars are still and always be my hobby, but life does come first.
Trade it in, rock that company joint with a fresh FITFREAK sticker so you can remember, and rock that S2K to forget about life.

The 128i is a great car too, but you want to get one with the updated cylinder head. BMW has had problems with air pockets building up behind the lifters, and the solution of course, is a new cylinder head. I can't remember offhand when the production split is for the updated cylinder head, but I'm pretty sure that if you get an '09 or newer you're in good shape.
BMW builds great cars, but don't go into one expecting Honda-like reliability. If you do, you're going to be disappointed.
I wouldn't expect another high HP, rear drive Honda anytime soon. With gasoline going expected to go back up to four and five dollars per gallon, high performance sports cars are not where Honda is going to place a lot of focus. The S2K is a killer car, and one of the last great high performance cars from Honda, along with the B16A powered Si.
i never really looked too far into the 1 series too much ive just always really enjoyed oogling at bmws and the 1 was no exception.. but most likely ill be trying to get into an s2k.. ive looked online in various forums and havent found much, as well as ebay and autotrader and such.. im not really in any huge hurry as i am still very much in love with my BBP so im just going to wait til i find a good one.. or maybe end up finding something else worthwhile..

The replacement for the S2000 is the recently announced 150 and 200 hp versions of the CRZ. The CRZ has not fared well in sales and the 150 and 200 hpversions (not hybrids) should help them as well as Honda.
There's agood reason the S2000 is a good buy; its a convertible, getting old, and those haven't sold well as sports cars in a while.
Yeah I've always liked the ap2 wheels more until recently.. Ive been on the other forums drooling over them and I really like a few of the BB ap1s with stock wheels lowered.. Looks clean..
And I looked around at the ft86 online to See what it's all about.. Looks like a pretty nice car.. I'm sure the interior will be changed a bit though..
I'm not really looking to rush into anything right now so if I find nice s2k I'll pick it up otherwise Ill wait it out and if the ft86 comes out before I make the move I'll look into it..
I've just always loved the sk2.. It's just so simple lol.. And plus the soft top would be nice because it's summer 90 percent of the time down here
