I am looking at buying a 2008 Honda Fit Sport tomorrow. I love this car. My only concern is that, when I go over bumps on the freeway or streets, the console light for the radio flickers a bit sometimes. It doesn't happen all the time but my husband and I both noticed it yesterday while test driving. Anyone experience this? I can hear slight rattling behind that part of the console when it is silent inside the car. I just don't want to buy something and then end up with an electrical issue. Any advice would help. Is this something normal with a car so small and low to the ground or should this not be happening? Thanks a million!!

 

Well assuming that you are buying this car second hand, you should just straight up ask the seller if they had an aftermarket radio and swapped the OEM one when they were selling it. Maybe it is a loose wire. Should be simple to fix of that was the case.

 

Would there be an easy way to tell if it is an aftermarket radio? The radio looks like the one in the pictures of new 2008 Fits so I think it is the OEM one...at least by the display. Also, if it is a loose wire... is that something that can/should be fixed prior to sale or something (relatively cheap) we should be able to take care of? Thanks!
