Some knock offs are made of good quality, some are not. Its mainly a matter of taste. The mustang world is no difference. Roush seats or ebays? no brainer right? 4.6 or 5.4 also no brainer. Steeda would be the good wheels in mustang world.

Rota is a knock off wheel, but are of good quality. Go to any race track and count the number of rota wheels verse volk. Dont race your volks, they cost too damn much. Race the rotas. Ive owned many rotas and have never (knock on wood) bent one, however I did bend a Kosei and pretty damn bad. So its all a matter of taste.

JDM is our lifestyle, not really a certain way or part that makes it. Just clean cars with quality parts put to good use.

JDM IS NOT A LIFESTYLE..

Its a word that teens/early twenties males say to make themselves sound cool to other people in the same age.

Back on topic of the J's grille.
I owned the rep and now the real one.
You pay for what you get.
The real grille have better fitment around the edges and come with grille mesh ( these 2 things are the only way to tell between rep and real grille).
Is it worth spending more for the real deal? That's a mtter of personal taste. I wouldn't dog on anyone for using the rep as long as they don't try to pass it off as the real one.
J's aero are made in Japan. Once you put in an order for say the grille they then produce and ship it out. They proably don't stock parts for our front end because not a whole lot of people order them. A tid bit I learned from Yasu of J's America is that the factory won't make an item unless they order at least 5 of it.

Rotas aren't off good quality, but I'm not taking this any further off topic.

I'm leaving this thread with this:

The replica companies steal designs from the original manufacturer, if you're okay with their theft, you must be okay with thieves stealing your car/other possessions.

So how do these real or replica install? Do you have to remove a piece of the original "grille/bumper"?

I already have a J's replica grille I'll put one my Mugen replica front bumper when I put my car back together... Screw all of the JDM snob crap. Cosmetic parts that do nothing more than provide a change in styling isn't worth paying through the nose for... The KWSC supercharger kit was a joint venture between Skunk 2 and Jackson racing, I certainly have been happy with the trouble free service I've gotten from it when waxing old Civics with Kmotor swaps, late model Mustang GTs and Civic SIs... I could go on but unless you were there you'd still doubt what I'm saying.
