Water in the trunk fix

Guess I’ll be doing this. Just found a boat load of water with my spare tire. I’m confused about the roof trim, after it’s removed what did he use to seal it? Can’t find Sikaflex 221 polyurathane anywhere. Would DAP polyurethane construction adhesive sealant do the trick?

I had success using seam sealer meant for camping tents. I used regular caulking plus books to get the trim to stick back into the channel. Worked on one side but not the other. Probably didn’t degrease well enough.
