Aftermarket LEDs for Cabin

Help?

I got two 8inch LED strings to use for under my dash in the front of my GD3. I wanna wire them up so that they only turn on when I turn on my headlights. I am decent at wiring and have wire cutters/strippers/nuts... would I just track down the wire for my head lights and just snip them and put everything together in a nut?
also, i figured i could track the wire through the fuses...?

haha i feel like an idiot, i just dont wanna mess up my baby.

thanks.

I think you want to wire them to light up when the doors are open...like the cabin lights. Unless you want them on while you drive at night?

yea, thats kind of what I wanted... your idea is cool too.
I wanted them to run just when the headlights were on and not all the time, otherwise i could just connect it to the 12v power source.

hmm haha now you made me wonder how I want it done

I bought mine off eBay. Paid around $35 with shipping. Money well spent.

A SE meet would be great. Maybe after the holidays/craziness has settled.

Why would you want them to light up only when your headlight are on?
