Shifting issue?

Hello, I am New to the site, Which is very informative! I recentally purchased an 07 Fit sport, AT, with 66k on it, Im the third owner, clean carfax, Anyways, my question is, Why does this thing shift so often? On the highway, with the cruise on it will shift two or three times on a slight incline. I grew up on hondas, but Ive always had manual trannys. Is this normal? I just traded my escalade in on the fit because of gas milage, am I just not used to the four cyl. vs. the eight cyl.? Thanks for the help!!!

109 hp minus about 20 for the auto and you have about 89 wheel hp. That combined with the taller final drive of the auto and you end up with a car that has to shift a lot to maintain it's speed on uphill grades.
