What clutch should i get for my fit?
What clutch should i get for my fit?
I have a 2008 Honda fit Sport MT and lowered with Tein lowering springs 1.8 in the front and 1.4 in the back. I just recently broke my shift lever and i have to take the transmission out but don't really know exactly how to do it if anyone can help me out with that?? Like a forum i can see??? But anyways I'm taking the transmission out, the car has 80,000 miles so i might as well change the clutch while I'm taking everything out because whatever bolt broke from the shift lever, is still inside the tranny and due to that I'm taking apart the transmission to look for the loose metal pieces, and if I'm not mistaken you have to take the front bumper off, correct? This whole job is saving me a shit load of $$$$$. But point being I'm looking for a clutch that is good, and reliable and also not too expensive???? Any suggestions????
The shift FORK is what I believe you are looking for.. and the last couple times I had one of those stupid aluminum forks go that was all she wrote for the whole gearset.
I would contact Tim Zimmer at TMZ in Waukesha, WI and see if he would be willing to take on a Fit transmission.
As far as clutches.. least of your worries at this point see if South Bend has one. Or the Spec Rep (Jeremy) that has joined up recently would probably love to help you out.
You are going to want a full-faced sprung hub organic disc most likely.
