Password JDM wiper delete?

Has anybody out there tried the Password JDM wiper delete plug? These are only brought in as special order at my local shop and don't really want to pay $35 and wait 2 weeks to find out if it fits or not. The guys at PW JDM said they have never tried one on a GD3 or GE8.

Is this real life? That looks to be a bolt with a flat plug on the end. $35?

It's one of those things that are so simple nobody thinks of it.

I honestly think it's an awesome product. I've always hated the rear wiper on my car and think a nicely finished gunmetal car on my silver fit would look much better.

Mmmh

I was thinking about buying that because I too hate the wiper, and want something nicer, oh the possibilities, buy or no buy....

Yeah. Please let us know. I really wanna get one of these if it fits. Or can you measure the size of the plug itself?

Well... I'm impatient, so I just ordered mine. I'm not sure how PW is for their shipping, but the rear panel is already off my car from last weekend so once It arrives It'll take me 5 min to know if it fits or not. I'll post the results.

I called them last week and they said it would have to be ordered in. Same with Garage Five.

You can get a plug at pep boys or auto zone for like $2 and fix it with a little epoxy or double sided tape. And you don't have to put that Horrible Companies logo on your car.

It's true. It is somethin I could do myself. But it's not worth driving around looking for a piece that fits nice to in the end have a black plastic plug when I can simply order a nice fitting piece. I got the gunmetal so it should look good with the silver. I'm all about details. Right down to the littlest of things.

If I'm about to pay $150 just for an LED 3rd brake light to match my JDM tails, I can spend $30 on this piece.

IMO the plug from home depot painted gloss black hides the fact you ever had anything there- but to each his own! I saw it for sale and glanced, but when I noticed $35.00 for a $5.00 piece of aluminum with a P on it I lost interest.

Post pics when your done!

V1. The plug itself was 2mm wider than the hole in the hatch.
