Lame, honestly though for the cost you could buy the Home Depot plug and paint it with an exact match of your cars paint.

I never actually looked at how the wiper motor went through the hatch until tonight. There's no way any of these wiper delete kits will work. Quick trip to home depot for a longer bolt and lock washer, used a spare Blackworks plcense plate washer that almost fits right in the hole and made my own kit. I'm gonna cut a rubber washer and pick up a stainless bolt for better looks over time, but it looks pretty decent.

got around to trying this for myself today... the rear "visual" part of teh wiper that you need to plug is made out of plastic- i just trimmed it up a bit with a razor blade.... and installed... kind of a pain in the ass do to my mid wing being in the way, but not really that bad...

need to cean up and make some sort of drainage plug for the bottom of the mid wing... not satisfied with how this looks, but will work on that at a later date- when i repaint the mid wing- winter was rough on her....

While I deleted the wiper, i deleted the rear squirter nozzle sticking out of the window- you can kind of see it in this pic

I thought about finding a random plug to do this, then realized how much I love the rear wiper since it's been raining for like two weeks. It turns on automatically when you go in reverse! I was amazed.

Glad you all got it figured out.

Like I said. Shitty picture. And also a quick crappy crop job cause I was too lazy to blur out the plate. I'll get a good one and close up when it's finished.

At home depot they have a 7/8in nylon plug in the hardware section. It's self locking meaning it won't just pop out randomly unless someone walks by and tries to pull it off. But anyways I bought two of them for a total of $1.29 then went to oreillys for duplicolor touch up spray. Sand down the nylon a little hit it with a couple coats of touch up then clear coat it with a high gloss and bada boom bada bing wiper mod is plugged

Ah, good job.
It looks pretty smart when painted body colour.

I appreciate it.

It was just a dust collector

Does anyone know the hole diameter that is left when the wiper is removed? I am thinking that this may be a good spot to mount a rearview camera. I know a lot of people don't see any need for a backup view, but I figure if my head unit has the capability, why not use it? Plus this hole looks like a better solution than a license plate mount camera.

The hole is 7/8 inches. Idk how the camera would look in such a big hole and I think it might be possible for someone to walk by and jack it off the car. But I'm saying this without any knowledge of the camera itself. It just seems like it would be very easy to see on the car and easily accessed for any lowlife looking at making someone's day a bummer... Just my thoughts but I always trip on people disrespecting other people's property when it's taken care of. If you do end up putting in the camera please show the final result it sounds like a cool idea

hmmm... 7/8". Metrically speaking, that's somewhere around 22mm. I found a 25mm Dia flush mount camera. Just might fit the Fit with a slight modification to enlarge the hole by less than 1/8". Thanks. I'll move this camera discussion to the appropriate forum once I get started.
