Question from a future Fit owner

Hello, my name is Alan and I am in the negotiation stages of purchasing a 2008 Sport with 43,000 miles on it. When I went to check it out yesterday that right rear tire was worn down to the point where it was barely drivable. I of course asked that both rear tires be replaced (the front one's were recently replaced). Last night I spent several hours reading over previous threads about rear tire alignment and the issues with the Fit sport tires wearing out quickly. I got the specs from the alignment that the dealer did and I wanted to get feedback from anyone about whether or not I should be concerned about the alignment specs and if this alignment issue should be a deal breaker for purchasing the car. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The specs are below

Left Front
Camber: -.1
Caster: 3.3
Toe: .06

Right Front
Camber: -.3
Caster: 3.4
Toe: .08

Total toe: -.02
Steer ahead: .07

Left Rear
Camber: -1.5
Toe: .13

Right Rear: (this is the tire that was really badly worn)
Camber: -1.7
Toe: .03

Total Toe: .16
Thrust Angle: .05

You may benefit from checking out a thread I started in the "Fit Shoes" section regarding a similar question I had about my alignment results.

This thread also has a photo of my alignment results, which also includes what the acceptable ranges are for each reading.

Thanks, I think that is the thread I read last night. I think I'll just leave it as is an rotate the the tires regularly.

I have read that the stock tires wear quickly, any recommendation for replacement tires once the new ones are worn down?

I am definitely excited about owning the Fit, I spoke with the former owner and she loved it.

I enjoyed Falken ZE912s and Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs. On 16" WedsSport SA-70 wheels. The Kuhmos had far better tread life, the Falkens held the road better in spirited driving.

my alighnment is good so far on my 07 sport and i have old tires in the rear got to change em soon, if the tires were un even i'd ask them for an alighnment to be safe cause it would suck to get expensive tires and they wear out before you break em in

Are those original tires? 43k on a set of tires - should be replaced anyway. The alignment numbers look normal. Rotate the tires every 5k miles and you will be fine.
