No, the widers ones go in the front.
The outer springs go on the rear.
The inner springs go on the front.
There's no way for you to put the wrong springs in the front. The rear ones won't fit on the front struts so if you've got the springs on the front, then they're the right ones.
If I remember correctly, your rear will sit a little lower than the front with the GF210s.

great! that explains it! i dont understand why the bigger springs have the letter F printed on them and the skinny have letter R. i wish tanabe would include instructions or atleast say which springs go where.

Yeah, just remember the front springs are bigger because that's where most of your car's weight rests.
But yea, don't worry. You wouldn't have been able to put the rear springs in the front nor vice versa.

Edit: Disregard post, noticed how much wider the center pair of springs were which actually clear the McPherson strut once doctordoom posted the picture.

Yea try searching, I remember GF210 owners complaining bout their rears sitting lower than the fronts. Even more with the Tanabe DF210 too, or whatever their DF series was for the GD.

Easy, I was half sleep when I first seen the picture and it wasn't has obvious until you posted it on the forum. At which point I noticed how much wider the center pair were and retracted my previous post.

A long as you have the smaller spring up front you have done it correct. The closer together springs are called helper springs they colaps as the car comes down.check the part numbers making sure there for the GD.

Skunk2 example: Skinny on strut (front), fatty in rear.
Skunk2 example again, but on car.
DME example: Skinny front, fatty back.
HKS example: Skinny front, fatty back.
Tein example: Skinny front, fatty back.
KW example: Skinny front, fatty back.
I still may not be awake but I'm noticing a bit of a pattern here. Even though you aren't using coil overs (used them for front shock/strut reference), the front springs are mounted on their corresponding damper and the rears are of course mounted separately from the shock/damper.
SO... unless Tanabe has a drastically different spring design from other manufactures, it looks like the skinnys do indeed go up front and the wider/fat springs go in the rear.
