Powertrain - Unintentional Acceleration

First post...

2007 Fit, 73,500kms auto, base model. Unintentional acceleration from standing start. This has happened twice in last 3 months. Dealer checked it out..no problem identified?? Vehicle very difficult to stop..brake function appears to diminish with onset of this issue. Anyone have any thoughts or can point me to data on this occuring before. Thanks...

I agree ahigh idle might cause that do your rpms spike on you rpm gauge might be an idle circuit issue or a compensator when the ac kicks in to help acceleration

You need to buy an OBD II code checker; the next time it happens, immediately stop and check codes.
Seperately, check your accelerator cable for anything that would 'hang up' the cable, including fittings, releases, guides, and the like. Check the ramp on the fueling module.
