***HELP*** Clutch issues

I have a 08' Fit Sport with about 80k mile on it. Bought it used from Honda with 69k miles and it was certified. I put a short shift in the vehicle a few months ago and have had no issues with anything until today.

Vehicle dues not want to engage into gear. Any of them. I have to force it to get into gear. Even when driving it will be difficult to shift due to the clutch not wanting to engage. Fluid for clutch master in full.

Anyone had any ideas?

In my opinion I think it may be the pressure plate. I noticed if I shift at higher rpm's and slam the shifter in the clutch will somewhat slip. Like I said there were no warning signs to this mess.

Thanks!!!

I have also noticed just now after putting my stock shifter back in that the clutch will engage no problem when the car is off. But when the car is on the clutch does not want to engage.

Yeah it was the clutch. Started slipping extremely bad. Will not engage in first gear. New clutch time this weekend.

That is low mileage to be having to replace the clutch..At a little under 50K mine slips a little.. I believe it's due to the clutch delay valve and shifting at high revs.. I began to notice it more after changing 26.5 lb wheel/tire each, to wheel/tire combo that weighs about 12 lbs more each.

Just depends on how it was driven, same with brake pads.

I usually get a lot of mileage out of brakes and clutches.... Tires never last me as long as they should though.. 2 1/2 sets so far at on the Fit and that is with numerous tire rotations...
