Need some help, my Fit won't go into gears. 08' sport, 5speed, 109k miles, 30k on new clutch. It's seemed to be stuck in neutral. It was very hard to move side to side at first, now It will go into 1st 3rd and 5th. There is no moving the shifter down. Whether the car is on or off, or clutch is depressed or not makes no difference. Fluids look fine, clutch pressure feels normal. Was fine last night, hopped in today and no go. The only things i can find searching talk about if it shifts when car is off it's the clutch, cannot find anything for my problem

 

Its most likely your cable. Inspect the cable and see if there is a tear or opening in the housing. I had this happen to me and there was a tear in the housing making the cables push through on 2,4,R.
