I have a 2007 Honda Fit Sport and the gasket around the rear window stop light is falling out. This is the light mounted in the middle of the rear window of the hatchback. I am not sure what adhesive I should use, if I should replace it, etc..

Let me know your ideas.

 

I had the same problem. Did you have your rear window tinted? The shop that did mine, removed and replaced that gasket to install the tint. Later, mine fell off too. As a matter of fact, it fell off so many times, I just tossed it. I haven't noticed any problems without it on.

 

Ours became "loose" with age, also.

I just glued it on with a thin smear of black RTV. It doesn't take much to make it stick.

 

Same situation here. I've kept mine on though. I only notice it at night when the light bounces off the gasket when I brake.

 

I just pulled it all the way off and put it back on with some clear RTV. 3 years ago or so, still stuck on there good.
