Im looking at 3 mufflers, 2 universal HKS hi performance, and an Apexi N1, for my Jazz (Fit)

The first, the HKS hi power Ti

Tip Dia. : 3.38inch
Piping Dia : 1.9inch
Shell Dia : 4.5inch
Total Length : 15inch

Second HKS hi power,

Same as above but 20 inches long (5 inches longer)

and third

The Apexi N1

Piping Dia: 2.5inch
Tip Dia: 3.5inch
Shell Dia: 5inch
Total Length: 18inch

I really like the look of the HKS high power ti, but is the pipe diameter to small? i read somewhere 2.5 is good for a 4 cylinder. 1.9 seems very thin.

 

2.5" is good for turbo.. 2.25" is good for NA.

 

I agree. You will lose power at low RPM with the larger pipe and the little engine is already weak enough at low revs...

 

Good advice, so the 1.9 is too small or just right? i just learn the gli pipe is 1.9, so maybe this smaller hks is aimed at this type of vehicle? you're mentioning 2.5, thats not the tip right? the tip is purely just tone from what ive been told?

so there's a few, the stumpy double tip look frikin amazing, but on the back of a gd1, and sound wise, eeeeh?
