Howdy y'all newbie to the fit world just wanted to introduce myself and my car. I am currently a soldier in the is army deployed to Afghanistan, and do to a recent divorce i ended up getting my ex wife's 08 honda fit sport 5 speed ( hence the name stuck with fit) I love this little car it is roomy and good on gas.

I have always been a honda guy but my knowledge base is of civics and other 90's honda's with d,b,h, and f series motor so the fit is a new world to me.

I was just curious what suspensions are you guys. Running on you DD with good results without slamming it to the point of removing the nose piece and other ground affects on bad country roads.

Thanks y'all any and all information is appreciated. I hope my first post wasn't to boring....

Hello soldier welcome to the site and thanks for your service. You will get to like your Fit more and more the longer you have it.

Sorry can't help on the suspension needs but there are a bunch of threads in the suspension section. Good reading.

Not much hope in terms of adding power on an L-series motor unless you boost or swap it for a K20, unlike the D/B/H/F-series motors you're used to.

I daily-drive and track my GD on stock suspension.

Welcome to the boards. Cheers

Good to have you with us, Stuck.

I love my '08 manual base Fit. Sweet gearbox and torquey engine. I'm on the stock suspension, which makes the car ride about as firm as a bobblehead figurine. (Don't know how Type 100 tracks his car.) But it's all about as much fun as you can have under 35 mph.

See you around.

I have enough flab to act as suspension.

Yep it's certainly firm but I've gotten used to it I guess. Lowering springs are "supposed" to give a smoother ride though. I say "supposed" because I've never really tried any of 'em, they're not a practical option given how tall the humps are and how rutted the roads are here in Manila.

I did sample the ride of a GD with Tein Super Compact coilovers and they seem to have struck a good balance between comfort and sporty firmness.
