hey guys i got f&f type 2's installed on my gd3 2 weeks ago..yesterday i noticed some clunking noise at the front right passenger side,so i jacked up the car and see whats making that noise...i found out that spring and perch were a bit a lose that i can freely turn it with my hands and rubber boot cover were twisted too so im thinking while driving it lose spring turns...so i tightened evrything now what im not sure is about the preload which i forgot to measure when i was there...question is can i set the preload of the spring while its still in the car?..i just got alignment and i dont want to mess with it so if its possible to set preloads without uninstalling the coilover?..thanks in advance..

 

i would remove it. By taking your coilover out you wont really mess the alignment up.
