Dashboard indications

I have to check the SRS bulb on the dashboard. Is it easier to go from the back or pull the gauges from the front? If I have to pull them from the front, does anyone have any tips or tricks?

From the front. There is a thread on doing it try looking for "changing the color of the dash lights".
