I'm getting ready to sell my wife's 2007 Base, which as you know comes stock with 14" steel wheels. Her two passenger side wheel covers have a lot of curb rash, so I bought some ABS wheel covers on Ebay. Unfortuantely, the lip on the stock steel wheel interferes with some wheel covers, including the ones I bought. I measured the lip and it sticks out about 1/8" from the face of the wheel.



Does anyone know if Honda has always used the same dimensions and style for their 14" steel wheels? I've seen some 14" wheel covers that will fit a Honda Civic, and the Civic appears to have the same lip on its wheels, though I don't know if it sticks out as far as one the 2007 Fit.

Anyone bought wheel covers on Ebay for a 2007 Fit that fit and are still available for sale?

 

FWIW, here is what I've learned:

Honda Civic has 15mm less offset, so the lip doesn't stick out past the face of the wheel like it does on a Fit. That's why there aren't fitment problems on a Honda Civic compared to a Fit.

One large volume seller of ABS wheel covers on Ebay suggested I was better off trying to find something at a local auto parts store, rather than buy from him, as he couldn't guarantee that anything he sold would fit on the Fit's wheels. I would at least be able to examine the shape and measure the clearance if I bought locally. You need to be able to put a straightedge across the back of the wheel cover, and measure about 0.5cm of clearance at the location of the lip on the wheel, in order for the wheel cover to fit on a Fit.

 

I would think that most of the wheel covers available at auto parts stores, walmart, etc would work fine. Most of them seem to bulge out quite a bit. If they don't fit, returning them is easy as driving to the store.
