Issues trying to start up 2007 Sport, any ideas?
I have a 2007 Honda Fit Sport and starting this afternoon, there have been some issues where it's taking the car anywhere from an additional five-to-twenty seconds to start up. I've included some video of it below:
It wasn't the battery.
After playing with it for a few minutes, my stepdad determined it could possibly be the alternator, fuel injector, and/or spark plugs.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be going on? Also, anyone have any ballpark estimates on what such a repair would cost?
Some additional notes:

Some additional notes:
- I'm sitting just shy of 84,000 miles (my Honda Care expired about 4,000 miles ago).
- I've had no major repairs done to the car, only maintenance that I've always been on top of (i.e. oil changes, battery and brake replacements, etc).
- In fact, I was just at my local Honda dealership a week ago getting my oil change.

Usual culprits are electrical and fuel.
How do you know the battery is good ? Load test?
How do you know the spark plugs are good? Tip condition? Gap?
Neither of these can you determine justby looking st them.
And yes you should have re-gapped the plugs before now.
Changed the fuel filter? Coil paks? Air filter?
Gas filter $10; plugs $15 ; coil paks $100ea; ea,

Bump, did you find out what was wrong?
I've got 40,000 + or - on my 2008 and it's not starting today. Not a clue as to what it might be, battery is about half-way but jumping it did nothing. It cranks but just won't start, it's too new to be doing this!! I can't do anything with it until Monday when I can have it towed to a shop.

(in case anyone asks, I do routine maintenance and do not drive it hard.)
p.s. Now when I try to start it, the dash lights flash in sync with the motor cranking (but not starting). I had left the key in it and the wheel-well lights come on automatically...So I guess I drained the battery even more....

OK, here's another possibility....What happens when you try to start the car with a key that is no longer coded correctly? Does anything happen? I have 2 keys and one of them may be the wrong code. Would that cause the car to crank without starting? And if so, how do you re-set that?
From the video it looks like a battery that does not maintain voltage very well. Perhaps one of the cells inside is leaking.
What did you do to determine it wasnt a battery? The way the gauges flutter so much really tells me the battery is struggling to put out the amps, and we all know lower voltage means more amp draw

<facepalm>
OK, that IS what was wrong. I couldn't find my normal set of keys, I grabbed the other key, that no longer works, and it cranked without starting. I just now tried the CORRECT key and bingo. No problem.
Well, how stupid am I?

Yeah, what a blonde moment....
