Help Needed for Serpentine Noise

I know there are a few serpentine belt threads going, but I wanted to keep those clean and on topic...

I just changed my serp belt and now I have a high pitched whine that grows louder and higher pitched the higher the rpm...

Facts:
-as I started, I found that the alt mounting bolt was very very loose and beginning to back out... It is now tight.
-I installed a dayco poly belt like this one:

Thoughts?

I adjusted it a bit looser from what I had first done, but maybe I need to do more?
Now that the alt is tight, is it transmitting more noise?
The ribs on the belt creating harmonics that weren't previously there?
Did I break something?

Any help and insights are welcome.

There is always a protective coating on new belts than needs to be washed off before use.. Spray it with a household cleaner like Formula 409 and rinse it with water while the engine is idling.. You may need to do it a couple of times.

Used some windex on it and only helped a touch...

But went 45 min to see some family and back and it's much much quieter now... Should go away in a few more days...

Thanks for the assistance
