Grinding and Clunking Noise HELP!
Grinding and Clunking Noise HELP!
Hi everyone.. I'm new to the Honda Fit Forum. I have a 2007 Honda Fit base model. I recently had a grinding noise start. It is coming from the front left. I changed the wheel bearing on the left side, as well as the CV axle (new ones not remanufactured) and the breaks and rotors. I thought for sure that the noise would go away after all of that. Well, the noise is still there. The car has 198k miles on it. I thought maybe the noise could be the transmission bearings where the axle spindle enters, but it's not a constant grinding or humming sound. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
Thank you,
DJ

I'd check to make sure the bolts are tight at the bottom of the strut. At that many miles your suspension has been replaced, and it's possible it didn't get tightened enough. It happened to me when I put on my aftermarket suspension. Grinding and clunking noises.
