Honda Fit Base vs Sport Rear Bumper

Minus the lip, what's the difference? I want to buy that replacement rear lip for my Sport with a base rear bumper cover (cause rear ended, and junk yard had base Fit only).

I plan on getting an aftermarket OEM copy: ikonmotorsports - 06-11 HONDA FIT REAR BUMPER LIP TYPE-R URETHANE - Parts & Accessories

What does a sport bumper look like without the lip? Exactly like the base bumper or do they have different designs?

04715-SLN-A80ZZ - sport
04715-SLN-A70ZZ - base
These are the Honda part numbers for the bumpers. I am pretty sure that they are still the same bumpers, but I think maybe the sport bumper has pre-drilled hole for the lip.

The base front and rear bumper have the square holes cut into them for the body plugs to fit in then you anchor screws into them. I know this because I am converting base to sport model and its proving to be tricky.

Yeah, I understand the hole part.

The OEM copies from Ikon Motorsports are adhered by some double sided tape and some rivets that go into the side.

OK, another question.

Actual Sport rear bumpers don't show that gap above the lip, picture is of a base bumper and a sport lip.
not sure if this is improper installation....

Improper install. Needs to be mounted higher up by approx half inch. See the crease that the fit tuner sticket is resting on?

Yeah. I see it. Thanks for pointing it out. I guess I'll go ahead and buy the lip.

Just wanted to get all questions answered!

Hey, I saw on a post just now you're trying to do a sport conversion. Do you have any recs for sites to buy the parts or is there already a thread on this you referenced.

Thanks!

I'm not trying to do a Sport conversion, mine is a Sport, lol. I just don't have the rear lip, since mine is a rebuilt Fit, I couldn't find a Sport Fit at the junkyard, they had a base Fit with a clean rear bumper which I picked up instead.

I'm going to buy my parts from Ikon Motorsports (ikonmotorsports.com) they have replica parts.

On eBay there's a seller that is selling everything from the front lip, sideskirts, and rear lip. All for 165 so I might just buy that instead!
