Any help? Im new

Hi all,

Im totally new here.I have yet another 'Wheels' Question...I've seen some wheels that I would like to buy,However i'm not sure they will fit.I have a 04 Jazz totally standard I would like to fit some 15" wheels,The dimensions are 195/45/15? With 4x100? Will they fit straight on? This is all very new to me..Hope you can help..I understand that these are quite wide?

Many Thanks
Daz

Welcome to FF A good spot to look if you have tire/rim questions is Fit Shoes - Unofficial Honda FIT Forums That sub forum will most likely already have the answer to your question.

Know for your question. If I understand you are looking to put some new 15" rims onto the car? The dimensions you gave 195/45/15 are actually tire sizes and doesn't tell much about the rim its on, other then its a 15" rim. The 4X100 mentioned is the bolt pastern, and that will in fact fit on to your car. The other number you want to know is the offset. A pretty slandered offset to go with, with out rubbing is +45 but you could get away with running lower offsets, I wouldn't go any lower then +42.

The 195/45x15 is a tire size, not a wheel. A wheel that fits a 195/45x15 tire can be 150mm rim width (6") but check tirerack.com for the rim range accepted by the tire manufacturer (they're not always the same from one manufacturer to another. If your fit has 14" wheels and 175/65x14 tires you new to stay close to the OEM dimeter of the tire, meaning in this case about 23 inches. If you go wider you should go a little smaller (not more than 1/4") due to more weight that will affect mpg. 195/45x15 has a diameter of 22.73 inches so its a good choice. Besides making sure the bolt pattern is 4x100, make sure the wheel offset doesn't decrease to less than 42 mm, and that the wheel spokes will clear your brake calipers and fit your wheel hubs. Again, use tirrack.com for all that tech stuff on wheels and tires.
good luck.

Like the others said, the offset is a good thing to know. Also what wheel are you getting? There's a good chance somebody on here might or might have been running them.

Hi Thankyou for your comments.I have seen some other wheels Millemiglia 1000 alloy wheels | Newton Abbot | Gumtree but will it be like a monstertruck without lowering?

Basically i'd just lie to bolt them on,Without the need for lowering..? Can this be done?

Many Thanks.

17 inch is fairly aggressive, so yes, it will look like a monster truck without lowering, you'll have to do some rolling, some lowering, but then again the link doesn't provide us with the offset or (ET).
