Thank you sharing but why now when I'm broke from Christmas shopping, oh man.
So I placed an order for an OEM-style hood, the rear lower tailgate garnish (the one that goes at the bottom of the tailgate just above the rear bumper) and the mid-tailgate garnish (the one that the "H" emblem is on) on Saturday, 12/20/2014. Today I received an e-mail that my items would be shipped in two boxes (understandable because I don't want it all in one big box) on Thursday, 12/25/2014. Odd, because that date is Christmas, but whatever. Now here comes the great part, in the shipping notes it says that the boxes are leaving the Los Angeles airport (LAX) and coming to the Phoenix airport (PHX) and the estimated delivery date is... wait for it... Tuesday, 01/06/2015. And then I have to wait for it to get from the airport to my house. Really? I can literally walk 387 miles from Los Angeles to Phoenix faster than that. No, seriously, I walk 3mph and if I walk for 8 hours/day I can walk home in 16.25 days. I'm tempted to call Seibon and ask if I can just go to Los Angeles and pick it up instead of having them ship it.

but yes you most likely can do local pick up. if you do let me send you some money to buy a new hood and ill meet you there (if you buy it i don't have to pay tax....stick it to the man)
But if I buy it and do local pick-up won't I have to pay CA sales tax? I checked yesterday and the updated ETA is 12/31/2014. A little bit better, but still a bit too long. I would rather have paid for shipping to get it sooner than free shipping.
Update. I woke up this afternoon and found I had two voicemails. One was from some guy at Seibon telling me my order had shipped. Thanks. I'm on top of e-mails and tracking numbers. I also had a voicemail from Pilot (Seibon's shipping company choice) telling me my parts were in and to call for a delivery date. Of course I immediately called and had a choice between Friday (12/26/2014) or Tuesday (12/30/2014). I'm busy on Friday so I chose Tuesday. I had time to wake up a little bit more and called Pilot back to ask if I could just go there and pick up my stuff. They said yes, so I drove right over.
Now here is the part where I say I'm sorry for not being too impressed with Seibon. Four days is an okay time period from order date to getting my package. The lower and mid garnishes can bubble-wrapped in bubble wrap and foam. Very well protected. The hood equally came in as much bubble wrap and foam. No issues with the shipper damaging my goods (one reason why I wanted to go pick up my items myself so then they wouldn't have to get transported anymore and run the risk of getting damaged), but the lower garnish had a two-inch light scratch on the top. It seems like this is status quo for lower garnishes as the one I ordered from HondaFitTuner looked like someone stabbed it with a pen and scratched the crap out of it. The lower garnis also doesn't fit too well, but neither dit the other one from HFT.
So merry Christmas early to me. I got my stuff early and I'm happy. I just need to get it all clear coated (again) and waxed before I through it all on. Thanks for the discount, Seibon!
