Why is my mpg 24 - 25?
Just bought an 08 fit base from some guy and everything runs well besides the back shocks, which still are pretty good, and I tested my mpg driving 60-65 mph and after a full tank I was getting 24-25 mpg!!!! What could be wrong with the car that it's getting that low of mpg? Thank you.

Bay Area, California weather, never too hot or cold. Mostly highway driving I would say, never really rev up the engine unless im going on the freeway. Like I said I never really try to rev up past 65 max 70 and I barely do it too.

SEARCH Idle Learn Procedure.
How many miles on the car? Maybe it needs maintenance.
Does it idle smoothly when the engine is cold? If not, valve adjustment, plugs, or new coils may be indicated.
Oh, and don't complain about MPG until you use three or four tankfuls of gas. One tank measurements are not always accurate.

Is the car an automatic? If so, your fuel economy will not be great, the 5AT is an inefficient thing when attached to these cars. Ms. 410b has only hit 40 MPG once, and in the cold weather only averaged 29ish.
Also, if you're filling up above 1/4 tank, the MPG will appear worse.
Also, 70 MPH is too fast for optimal fuel economy. And check your tire pressure.

Need more information on the vehicle.
I.E.: Transmission, mileage, tire size, known maintenance performed, conditions driven, how it's driven, etc... otherwise we're pretty much taking shots in the dark.
I personally seen as low as 22 MPG with my A/T Sport BEATING IT around town with an autocross day, I've also seen as high as 41 MPG sticking to the speed limit on routes that are mostly highway, and even 33 to 36 MPG hauling a** on the interstate to The Dragon.

Agreed... Yes some how I managed to get low to mid 30 MPG during the road trip to get THERE (rarely seen under 80 MPH ). Once there, it was a different story.

I have the same mileage ~27-28mpg with 08 Sport Auto, more like 25mpg with ac blasting. Its up to date on regular maintenance and doesn't have rough idle.
I dont store anything in the car to keep it light. I dont exceed 65mph. I will check tire pressure again, they're only a year old. I will unplug the battery as suggested. What is the next thing I need to be looking at?
