Axle Nut Torque Specs

Just had to replace axle. I have to torque the nut in the spindle. Cannot find the spec. I know civics go to 134lbs. Any suggestions.

Found my answer. It is 134. The civic is the same spindle nut at 32mm

Are you sure? 134 seems high.

I have not been able to find a legit answer. 134lbs seems proper. Reasoning behind this is that the axle nut is 32mm on both the Fit and the Civic. The Civic gets torqued to 134lbs so I don't see why the Fit would not.

134 ft lbs is correct for the front and rear, I looked it up in the shop manual.

Thank you for confirming. I figured it would be the same as a civic.

That's correct

Yup that's the spec. Ive done this a few times. It seems like a lot but when considering how much is riding on that bolt seems reasonable.
