Question Bumper vs Bumper Cover

I need to replace my rear bumper, I have a base model and I want the stock bumper, but I am having trouble finding a replacement. Junkyards in my area don't have any Honda Fits, craigslist hasn't given me any luck, and my ebay/amazon searches give me bumper covers.

I know this might seem like a stupid question, but is a bumper cover what I need? What is the difference between a bumper and a bumper cover?
Also, any tips on where I can find what I need?

It should be the same thing. Some people call it bumper and some, bumper cover.

I believe some people consider the actual crash bar inside the car the bumper. Older cars had a black rubber protrusion that acted as a bumper but the Fit like most modern cars have an internal bumper that is simply covered by the bumper cover or fascia as some people call it.

I always call it a bumper cover because it is just that, a cover

A bumper is meant to protect other things from damage, and preferably will survive impacts without sustaining damage. A truck's (or vintage car's) steel bumper is a bumper.

A fascia, like we have, is decorative.
