Door grab handle/armrest replacement

The driver door interior armrest/grab handle on my 2007 Honda Fit Sport keeps coming loose. It looks like a couple of the small tabs have broken off. I had planned to run by the dealer, but their parts & service department is closed today. Doing some quick internet searching really hasn't yielded much help. Can anyone tell me what part number I need to search on, or provide a link to a schematic that would let me identify that?

Thanks in advance!

I'd think of checking out scrapyards first. For sure there's a junker fit with a great condition armrest for you. I'll take a look in the service manual when I get a chance to give you the info you need

Try finding the part on this page: http://www.righthondaparts.com/auto-parts/2007/honda/fit/base-trim/5-speed-manual-engine/interior-bumper-cat/front-door-lining-scat Sorry, I'm on my phone and it isn't a link.

Thank you - that was exactly what I needed! "Grip" or "Grip Handle" is what I needed to be searching on. This part is low-dollar enough to preclude junkyard scavenging, especially when I'm very short on time these days. Much appreciated!

Welcome! The hardest part should be getting the door panel off in the first place to replace the part, then getting it back on. There is probably a DIY on the door panel around here somewhere because that's probably the only way I learned how to take my door panels off a few years ago.

Had the same issue with my wifes 07 Fit Sport when we bought it a few months ago. I can dig up the site if need be, but its a $18 dollar part, goes on in less than 30 seconds. It's super easy, no door panel needs to come off etc.

Those tabs are the culprits.

Any pics or updates on this? May have the same issue and is still not fixed. Indeed..the tabs are the culprits.
