JDM console fit the Base/ LX model?

JDM console fit the Base/ LX model?
As the title states does the JDM console only fit the Sport and MT?
I heard the auto trans in LX and Base model is to wide for the console.

Looked around the answer is no... if your shifter has 3-2-1 its longer than the manual and sport.

Could you just modify the console?

You could probably elongate the shifter opening... I may try if I can find a good price on the JDM console.
