Thumbs up P0303 Story

Long Story as short as possible....

Just bought first import ever 07 Honda Fit Sport.

Guy said everything was done at the dealer and had all receipts since he bought it from 2012- now except none for 2015 weird but okay its been a good car...but he changed the coil packs.

Bought car went to get emissions tested passed next day check engine light went to get read P0303... Read up on it for a few hours thanks to this place. I went straight for coil packs (cleaned and reinstalled and swapped 3/4 to see if code jumped) and changed plugs to the NGK laser.I talked to some people at work and found a Honda guy to price a valve adjustment.
Called Honda guy and he explained to me about not really needing a valve adjustment I told him FitFreak said:
P0303 symptoms:
bad gas mileage (30mpg ave)ck
falls on face when stopping and car is warm but still cold. ck
valve train noise ck

Man I want it done and need a price.. expecting $250-$300 he said $80 I was like on my way but I had to wait till Wednesday so I continued to drive. Wednesday came and BAM Check Engine light came on on my way to his shop. I dropped it off and picked it up yesterday and this is what he found I think the problem is solved...

Exhaust Valve reading once he pulled off the cover

1).007 .007 2) .006 .007 3).000 .010 4) .011 .012

Intake Valve reading once he pulled off the cover

1).010 .011 2) .010 .011 ).007 .008 4) .006 .008

He put them back into limits and it perrrrrs like a kitten just a bit worried about that number 3 valve we shall see if the P0303 comes back in the next couple of days. Will update after Christmas..

Good job! Pretty sure you got the problem solved. The 07-08 Fit's most common problem is misfiring, and the most common causes are the 2 things you took care of: coilpacks and/or valves.

There are some less likely possible causes but chances are, your car is gonna be alright.

The fit has 150,000 and after 1 tank of gas the problem is solved. The valves was the problem no check engine light and its running like a champ and getting 35mpg..
