2008 honda fit engine replacement and interchange info needed

I have a 08 honda fit 5 speed. Motor is bad . I have a parts car with good engine but it's an automatic. Will the automatic motor work in the manual car?as far as I can see everything looks similar. Any help will be appreciated.

At minimum you're going to need to transfer your existing oil pan to the replacement engine due to different shape. An automatic oil pan will not bolt up to the manual transmission if I recall correctly... everything else I believe will exchange.

Of course.

Manuals will have flywheels, autos will have flexplates.

Any tips? Is it easier to drop both engine and tranny together from the bottom or is it possible to pull the engine from top?

Yea I will be parting it out, rear bumper is no good bit you can find it from aftermarket company like keystone or lkq. What do you need from interior?

Since you need to transfer over parts I would drop both out the bottom. I pulled a motor from a wrecked fit and pulled it out the top easily.
