My son just bought a 2008 1 owner base model today. .His other choice was a KIA Rio with higher miles (Fit has 40,000) but cheaper. I'm the owner of a 2015 EX I bought new and truly love so I told him that I would grab the Fit before someone else got it! When I got mine all of the research I did was on the new model so I don't know a lot about the 2008. He likes all new technology but this Fit is totally a base, no keyless,screen,back up cameras ect just a automatic and air conditioning. To me it's the perfect commuter car,great on gas and since it was bought right (way under 6k) cost per mile will be incredial low.

Way to go! I think he'll really come to appreciate his choice further down the road. My mom's 2007 (virtually the same) has been an extremely easy car to own, and she just passed it down to me, to continue to enjoy.

I'm the same way re: tech, but as long as he has the basic power package (doors, windows, mirrors, etc- and A/C), he can add the rest as he likes. I've got my eye on the Alpine ILX-007 car deck for mine. Same goes for keyless, remote start.
