More vibration! Now with A/C in Neutral/park
It looks like soon I will be dealing with very strange issue or perhaps low a/c charge.
Few days ago I shifted to neutral with a/c on and felt strong vibration in steering wheel and under pedal floor board. The vibration disappeared!! when I shifted back to drive. This intermittent issue is new to me because most misfires are aggravated under load, I am guessing it's time to check and charge an a/c??
Note: the idle speed with a/c was correct (about 850 rpm and MAP was reading same as usual)

It used to be colder 5 years ago than now
There was no power loss when I shifted it from N to D and accelerated.
In neutral it felt first at steering wheel then migrated to the floorboard.
It almost felt like a/c compressor had "sticky piston"
Based on increased vibration in general (on driver door armrest) I was leaning toward motor mounts.
When I looked at the engine compartment the engine was vibrating more when A/c was cycled on while in park. BTW when one of my old coils died the miss violently jolted entire car.

Did you ever figure anything out with this? My 2007 Fit Sport manual transmission is doing that same thing. It has been for several months. I've checked a few things but haven't found anything. At first it sounded and felt like the exhaust pipe was touching the frame but I checked and the exhaust system is in great shape.

I was able to make vibration less pronounced by replacing the transaxle mount (between cross member and a/t housing) ; MT transmission does not have this mount ) . I've also tested 2008 Fit sport with slightly higher mileage and it behaves the same way.

I figure it is something along those lines but haven't dug deep enough to see if I notice anything. I'm the original owner and it has 211k miles. It doesn't seem to bother the driving performance. It is just one of those annoying things that drives me crazy.
Thanks for the quick reply.

My clutch leg is probably closer to giving out before the vibration gets too bad to drive. Hitting the "Big 5-0" this year and pushing the clutch for the last 10+ years, it is getting close to selling it to some young kid who wants to turn it into a Tuner.
