2007 Fit sport, spark plug question

I recently changed out my plugs and I noticed quite a bit of dark residue/discoloration. Is this something i should be concerned or the plugs were not replaced before i bought it?
please see picture for the reference.

These plugs most likely have over 60000 miles. Deposits look normal but the gap is on the larger side

X2 No issues aside from the gap in the picture.

How many miles on the Fit?

Doctor J,
My fit has just ~less 120k miles. So i can safely assume they were changed recently at all, lol.

CarBuff2,
Thats good to know that my plugs were never changed, could terrible gas also cause problems like this? I replaced my plugs with a more budget friend set ~5 dollars a plug. It seems to be running better. the miles are ~120K miles.

Any plug except Iridium isn't going to last long. Your bliss will be short-lived...

Simply re-gapping those old plugs would probably made your car run better, too. But, gapping is not recommended for Iridiums since the very small electrodes are fragile.

Also plugs with small gap will run better at idle and starting but may lack power on high speed acceleration (40 to 70) on the top gear due to shorter spark duration (it will show up like more frequent bumpy downshifts of a/t)
