Yeah, that's about right...PLUS SHIPPING. Which is why I always say ~$200 USD for 4...

You can find 5%-off promo codes all over the place for Rock Auto, too.

It's $25 for full set of four from eBay. Completely fixed my issue. At this price I can change them out every 10,000 miles and still be okay. I just needed a quick fix to confirm what was wrong. IMO, the design of the ignition coil boots that uses a flimsy wire spring is the root cause of the lack of durability.

Now more than 26k km over 18 months on the Spectra ignition coils and no issues.

Spectra coils are $32 each and the Hitachi are $52 each (CAD). There is a cheaper ignition coil now, too (Ultra Power, at $24).

And to reiterate - I made the choice to go with the cheapest parts available, and am providing my information as a test case. My example can't be considered representative of the entire population, since it's a single datum. Please don't assume I'm trying to assert that, or that whatever good or bad fortune befalls me will happen to you, should you buy these parts.

I still don't get it - I have over 200,000 miles on my car, keep it tuned up and it has NEVER had a misfire problem. Must be a unicorn.

How often was it tuned up, I could totally see that if your changing plugs regularly, and adjusting the valves ,, you might get a better run on them..

I replaced all four of my coil packs at 109k when I did the spark plugs for the first time. No codes. Just noticed what I felt as missing under acceleration. Hitachis were in there from the factory, so that's what I replaced them with, along with Denso plugs. Before that, it seemed like I would detect a misfire on acceleration every so often, but never triggered a CEL (does CEL always come on with regularly occurring misfires?)

It's '08 base that I bought at two years old with 18,000 miles. It just rolled over 113,000. My plan is to change them again at 200,000 if I still own it in 2028, which I may at this rate.

Now more than 38k and 30 months since installing the Spectra coils. No issues with the stuttering.

Spectra coils today are $31.07 CAD. Denso are $57.19 and the Hitachi are $43.08. The Ultra Power coils are now $22.78. Looks like prices are coming down in general.

Just over 100,000KM and I just did mine for the first time. I took the risk on 4 "Hitachi CM11-110"- labeled units in boxes with Honda 30520-PWC-003 part stickers- bought on eBay for about $157 CDN, shipped. Considering that Honda quoted me $162 just for one, I'm leery about the legitimacy of them being "OEM", but we'll see. The reviews were good..

At any rate, the missing at idle appears to be gone, to my relief. Something I noticed though; I ran the car after I replaced each one and it was cylinder 1 where the missing stopped. I haven't had a chance to look too closely at the old one, but as soon as I pulled It up from the seated position, there was a subtle smell of fuel that came out- the coil unit still smells like it. There's no sign of anything really out of place though; no moisture or physical signs of fuel, but I can't figure out why I'd be getting a gas smell out of the one; none of the others smell like anything, and I couldn't find anything online that matched..

Does the coil appear to have rusty tint?
In any rate check the tightness of the spark plug it may be loose

I'm on my third set of Hitachi coil packs. OEMs replaced at about 70K, second set at 148K. Now at 189K and getting the "stutter" again at idle and highway speeds under load. I've never run coil packs long enough for the misfire to get bad and trigger a CEL because the stutter bothers me. I've owned the car since new so I know what it feels like when it drives well. Considering that I've just got only 41K out of my third set of "OEM" Hitachis, I'm considering other alternatives. I'd save $40 with the Spectra Premium on RockAuto, but if they didn't last as long as Hitachis, I'd be losing money in the long-run.

I kept my '08 Fit until ca. 2015 and 96k-ish mi. Changed the spark plugs at least once. Never changed any coil packs.

I drove that car as hard as I possibly could, short of tracking it, and it always put a smile on my face (except that it usually tried to kill me in the wet, the li'l bastard).

I got a P0303 the other day (pending). First misfire ever. I do notice that I seem to get some hesitation under acceleration; I originally thought it might be the clutch slipping although I think my clutch is good. How would you best describe the “hesitation” due to faulty coil packs I keep reading about?
