Another bad discovery (windshield wiper linkage)
Another bad discovery (windshield wiper linkage)
Today I while changing wiper refills I noticed that the white plastic pedestal of the wiper linkage 76530-SLN-A01 (visible through the holes in cowl panel) is covered with tiny but deep cracks. I urge everyone to take a look. This part is exposed to rainwater; if it gets there and freezes the entire system will fail making you stranded in the rain or snow. Looks like most cars are made not to go far beyond 10 years, regardless of the make
I would be not surprised if it will trow the rod despite regular Valvoline oil changes
I missed my 87 Camry wagon!! My 81 VW diesel to be ready soon!!
PS. Rock Auto sells replacement part for very reasonable price
