230k miles - replace gas filter?

My fit is doing alright, all maintenance needs getting covered, but I was wondering if I should replace the gas filter in tank with this many miles? I'm aware it's a lifetime part, but it's also a lot of miles.

If you can do it without hurting the fuel pump and the fuel level sending unit, AND you can find the sock as a separate part, why not.

But if you will damage something else int he process and learn that those socks don't get filled with debri (they just prevent larger particles from passing), then maybe there is a reason it's not listed as a maintenance item.

I don't know if I would approach replacing this on my car at that mileage. Good thinking though.

I would just leave it. If Honda felt like it should be changed it would have been added to the maintenance list.
