Question ABS/brake light

Had Fit on jack with right front wheel raised, e-brake set firmly. When I disengaged brake the ABS and brake lights stayed lit. No brake drag, car operates normally but can't get lights to go off. Ideas?

Have you driven it a few miles? Takes about a mile for the system to reset after you spin some wheels and not others.

I'm guessing it's going to need a new wheel speed sensor. Is it giving any codes?

No codes, but the Bosch OBD II scanner killed some old ones.

Have you verified a secure electrical connector on the RF wheel sensor? Perhaps an application of contact cleaner is warranted.
Unplug & plug the sensor THREE times...

I reconnected the connector etc. which did not work but am confident that it is not the problem. Sometimes odd motions etc. trip trouble codes. And the Honda manual even has mention of the phenomena of "intermittent codes" which are hard to track down. But in this case it also states that these kinds of codes are stored in the EEPROM and cannot be cleared by conventional driveway methods. My local import garage has the necessary electronics to clear it and I have an appointment scheduled to get it cleared. I'll bet you a dollar that when they clear it, it does not return. Stay tuned in November for the exciting outcome...

That large connector with the orange slide on top that must me moved out of the way to access the alternator adjustment bolt - when you reconnect that, it turns off the ABS and brake light warnings. DOH!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm squared away for the Fit's 11th Interior Alaska winter now...
