Hi everyone, new to fits. Need to remove the Eng/trans and move to another chassis. Is there a DIY video anywhere? I wasn’t able to find one in the search function. Either way, what is the best method to take the engine out - top or bottom? Does it really matter? Top would be easier for me. TIA

 

I haven't pulled the engine out of the Fit, but the only reason I see to take it out the bottom is if you lack a cherry picker or some kind of rigging to pull it out of the top. Maybe also worthwhile with a lift I. The same situation.

I helped a kid do this a long time ago on a Civic because all he had to work with were jackstands and floor jack. It seemed like a pain in the ass, unnecessary risk for safety or damaging anything, but it worked
