KW come on with it...

I'm not one for boosting and I know some have been waiting on KW to come out with a kit for the GE Fit. I found here in Japan a supercharger kit already out for the GE utilizing the Rotrex charger.

LINK

It's quite expensive with the ¥/$ conversion though. Currently at about 89/1.

wow didnt know power enterprise would come up with this before some other US tuner (KW) company would. i wonder what and where the problem lies that kw will not produce a kit for the GE...

i would get one if they made it.

Actually about $5300 with the current exchange. I could care less if KW makes a kit or not or any other company for that matter. Mostly I put this up because I know some people were interested in a supercharger kit for the GE and I figured if KW saw it maybe just maybe they would reconsider for their US based clients.

And the kit is priced similarly with the high-boost kit for the GD making approximately the same numbers. That is if the $ would stop sucking the world over.

Screw that. I'd rather go K-Series.

those are actually flywheel #s.... Its gonna be making roughly about 130hpish.. the KW highboost makes 160hp to the wheels which is about 180hp at the flywheel.

I figured they would want to make kits for cars that they can make money on the sale. And I'm sure that's what they're doing, they don't think there is a market for the GE. I can respect that, just saying it how it is.

So I just finished reading Maximum Boost by that Corky fellow and my head just exploded... $5k doesnt seem like such a bad price all of a sudden compared to the headache of setting up your own system.

you mean miatas and s2k's? because aside from those cars and the fit they have not done much else. i appreciate their r&d but man stuff takes forever.

personally, i can see why they are NOT delving into the ge8, even though i would probably consider buying one if they came out with a kit....but i would appreciate some more options for the base kit on the gd3 now.

I'm pretty sure even if they came out with a GE8 kit, there'd be plenty of "why would you spend thousands of $ on boost when the point of the car is mpg" posts going around in the GE8 forum. Just not alot of interest in working on the platform with the GE8 from what I've seen.

You mean like a Intercooler option? Or highboost upgrade option?(which they offer) What more options do you need?
