Muffler Replacement only?

Has anyone done this yet on a GE8? I am looking to replace the factory muffler on my GE8 but not sure of the size on the pipe or if one of the universal ones off JC Whitney or Ebay etc will work.

If anyone has done this already can you chime in and post pics also.

Thanks!

Check out Manxman's post on his muffler change on HondaFitForums.com.

That's a bit more work than I can afford, I am on a tight budget so I just wanted to replace the muffler with something that can give me a slightly deeper sound.

I had a 2 1/2" axle back pipe and glass pack muffler put together and installed on my car by a local muffler shop almost 4 years ago for about $85.00....It sounds as good as a high dollar axle back pipe and only loud when the pedal is down and the revs are up.

Lightbulb

I have a post about this a few down, the Magnaflow muffler I used is universal and its part # 11132 and the muffler had to be installed on a bit of an angle due to size limitations back there but its no biggie, trust me. The sound is perfect IMO and has no rasp because I kept the resonater and I swear, noone will throw and rice at you either, its a perfect little growl

I paid a total of $170 for the muffler and install, best money I've spent on the car so far and when combined with my K&N typhoon intake, I'm completely happy with my Fit now

Or...now the hks is only $290 shipped from assaultech.com

It's a perfect piece with an excellent tone.

I'm sure that's a nice piece, but just replacing the muffler cost me about $170 between the muffler, tip and install and the savings of $120 could go towards the intake of your choice (I prefer the K&N typhoon myself)

That is a good price for a bolt on kit, but it took me too long to load that vid up but I'll try again later. I like how the total package of my car sounds, now I gotta lower it and I'll be all set
